  • Specializing in Functional Oral Appliances to Treat Patients with Sleep Apnea & Snoring

    How Can We Help?

As dental professionals, we can help patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea, as well as those unable to wear a CPAP. A comfortable dental appliance repositions the lower jaw and tongue to a more forward position during sleep – maintaining an open airway. This will help to minimize/eliminate obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.

    Why Is Sleep So Important?

Sleep is essential to our physical health and well-being. We sleep to restore our brain, to heal and repair, and to rest the body. Sleep deficiency is linked to depression, an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke as well as a diminished quality of life.

    What is Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a treatable sleep related breathing disorder. During sleep, the musculature that supports the upper airway (as well as the soft palate and tongue) becomes more relaxed and the airway can collapse. The collapse of the airway can cause a person to snore, or in a more severe instance, can cause a person to stop breathing (apnea) many times during their sleep.
